King's Park is about 400 hectares (about 10 acres) of parkland, much of it native bush, 1.5 km from the centre of the Perth CBD. The Friends of King's Park is a group of people dedicated to fundraising, growing native plants, bush land restoration and research.
I love the fact that from the peaceful oasis of the park, you can look down over the city and the freeway and across the river to the various southern suburbs. It's a beautiful place and accessible to all.
