What part of your childhood do you miss the most?

Fresh milk and cream every day? (We lived on a farm). Freedom from adult responsibility? My youth? It's hard to say. I miss all of those things, but I don't miss the lack of control over my own life that was my experience of being a kid.

Show us a bird native to your habitat.

A couple of summers ago, on several successive mornings around 6 to 7 am I heard a lot of rustlings and pecking noises coming from somewhere outside; finally, when I decided to get up and see what all the commotion was, I discovered the tree in my front yard crammed full of white cockatoos having a feast, so I rushed back inside and got my camera. I took these photos from about three or four metres away.

The white building at the back is where I go to catalogue a small library on Thursdays.Today I had my camera with me because I planned to go on a photo walk through Fremantle in the afternoon, so I just had to take a photo of the "venomous snakes" sign, because I love the contrast with the idyllic green setting.
